I have an RD400c project for sale, I have my eye on a project car so some of my toys are going to fund this.

It is a 1976 Yamaha RD400 , semi complete, the supplied engine is a 1975 RD350 , big box of spares as shown in the photos. RD's are well sought after and a fun 400c 2 banger.

This project is not for the faint hearted, will need loads of $$$ and time to bring her up to a decent standard. My goal was build a period correct 70's 2 stroke drag bike and come down to the drags with the 2fiftycc lads and play, alas I have found a 70's Ford Escort for sale which was my first car I ever owned. I paid up for this bike ( wasn't $40 Maelstrom) and want to recover my $$$ so get my Escort.

    Located in Brisbane

$1350 ONO (Hint if you beat me down to $1200 , I will let it go as that was my purchase price)

Mate, would have been great to see this thing as a drag bike. Probably would have blown the rest of us away. Hope you get some coin for it soon. BTW, aside from everything else, @Murdo is an Escort Guru!

I think most people would have an Escort story... well us oldies anyway.
I had an Escort Panel Van... 1600cc Cortina GT engine with a 70/30 Wade cam (I think) ported head and Dual through downdraught weber.. it was a quick little beggar :)
Plus I could pull the engine out in about 2 hours without using a chain block etc... just sling some rope underneath it... hook it over the shoulders and up she comes... No wonder I have back issues these days LOL.

Hope the bike sells quickly for you Chris... pity to see it go but the Escort sounds like it might be a neat project.

Love the Mini-lites... very cool little cars.
Oh what I would give to have an Original BDA-Cosworth Escort 2 door... I did manage to have the BDA style bumperetes on my Van
