I was wondering if the ninja 250 exhaust system would fit on a ZZR 250 ? Seeing as they both have the same engine if not a similar one
I'm thinking about getting a pair of Musarri slip ons for my zzr 250. This is what I'm looking at : https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Kawasak...633079?hash=item261d7f34b7:g:pY4AAOSwup9c51Pg The description says that I don't need to do any tuning after installation, but I'm thinking maybe a stage 1 jet kit to go with the exhaust
I would be trying the pipes before any tuning mods. May even have to go leaner (smaller jets) to suit, but you wont know until the engine running and riding.
There is no such thing as a 'Stage 1 jet kit'. If by some miracle, most unlikely, that more air could flow through the carburettor throats then more fuel would be drawn through the emulsion tubes.
Found this : https://www.carpimoto.it/en-AU/Bike...-Kit-for-Kawasaki-ZZR-250-86-00-stage-1-3.htm This is why I said maybe a stage 1 kit
Have you solved this issue yet ? https://2fiftycc.com/index.php?thre...el-right-at-cruising-speed.10559/#post-124505 Any change's like muffler's might make the problem worse
yes very much so ,on my piaggio mp3 250 changed the muffler to a after market one mainly due to weight (very heavy fker)and also looking for a performance upgrade , was suppose to be a direct swap with no retu ning / remaping etc , cost big $$$ , caused it to run badly , huge flat spot taking off , wasn't till got to top end that noticed any real performance and then not sure if in the imagination …. beware of exspensive snake oil … as said changing the jets could cause flooding in the motor , the zzr doesn't seem to like low revs unless accelerating so could make the prob worse , also no big deal if your changing the jets but can run into $$$ if your having to pay someone to change them then change them back
Best solution is to have the bike Dyno Tuned... that way it isnt guesswork, the tuner is able to adjust and change jets, clip settings etc to get the best from your bike. The good ones will have a dyno where they can do part throttle runs as well as WOT and that will get you where you want to be....and you wont spend money on something that may not work. Now if you r were in Sydney I could point you in the right direction....
There's a guy who dynos both cars and bikes about 35 minutes away from where I live. I think he said about $165 for 3 power runs
A power run is just that, 1 run on the dyno, 3x time's, tuning and part's are extra $ and they usually charge around $150 per hour on top of that. I just had my car on the dyno last thursday for some carby adjustment's, took 2 hour's and did 10 power run's, cost me $175 inc part's all up, but he didn't charge me for the first hour
