Taking the 45hp model out of the equation, has anybody had any success with after market cdi's.
currently I have an aftermarket one on the unfinished bike that has a sticker that says cdi 11 (available on ebay still https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/184562041972?hash=item2af8c14474:g:vRkAAOSwy79frAv9&LH_ItemCondition=3 ).
ali express has one for sale that has a business website too.

i mistakenly bought a secondhand cdi for the 45hp model, so that will be up for sale soon when it's delivered from NZ.

Have the Aliexpress one on two CBRs and they do feel to give a bit of a boost in the mid rev range, but be warned they do not have a limiter.

i managed to source a 45hp frame to go with the cdi unit.
the np model i have has had the frame chopped from the previous owner (the old half built cafe racer story). So i will build both.
i'm on the look out for an 45hp engine as i can't import them from japan.... yet.
A bit hesitant, but i will use the generic cdi for the np model.
