    im looking to buy a good second hand engine for my 1990 FZR250R 3LN3, my current engine has 1HX stamped on it.
    I would like a complete, running or recently running engine, I dont really need the carbies, as I can use my own.

    I think you will find all the engines have 1HX on them.

    Heres the model to engine number list ...

    3LN1 has an internal oil filter
    3LN3 onwards has external spin on oil filter

    Aren't they the frame numbers Mr Grey, or am I just wrong again.
