I'm trying to identify the thread on the oil tank drain plug of my YDS 3..
    It measures 9.62mm x 1.0 pitch ... so,is it 9mm or 10mm
I want to buy a tap to clean the threads after treatment with a tank sealant (fuel tank as well as oil tank).
    Thanks folks ...

M9 would be under 9mm... Is the 9.62 the root of the thread or the crest of the thread?
