    Picked this up for $200 and a case of beer. Put a battery on cleaned carbs and it fires right up all Electronics seem to work perfect.

    Lots of white smoke where headers bolt on...hoping not piston rings or valve seals. Should I just wear it in a bit see if it goes away?

    Came with heaps of extras from another bike...Carbs, Instrument panel, electronics.

    White smoke while running. Most likely piston rings or valve seals. Can’t find piston rings for this bike anywhere!

    No, the oil looks brand new in it tho. The level is slightly high also...this prob isn't helping?

    got lucky the box hasn’t rusted through, pipes will be restored

    If it was me I would drop the oil and put the correct amount in there ..... also I find used oil looks alot worse when its in a pan than in a sight glass or on a dipstick

    Used my vacuum bleeder on front brakes and Boom the lever went hard as a rock!

    Get some etch primer on it so it wont start rusting again while you decide.. :)

    As Andy said you'll need some good etch primer, to stop any flash rusting, i recommend Protec EtchPro, or Wattyl, Supoeretch, can get both in an aerosol to make thing's easier.
    Any dent's need repairing on it ?
    Are you going to use 2 pack on the tank so the paint won't come off when you drip/spill petrol on it ?

    last night I put a coat of duplicolor etch primer on it. next step is body filler for the dents then duplicolor paint. Top it all off I got that $60 can of 2k cleae that you have to activate on bottom. Sound ok?

    You might need more than 1 can of the 2K clear... It is preferable to use the 2K clear over a proper base coat... DNA Paints are in Melbourne.. depending on the colour you are after they have a number of Aerosol products you can use for base coat.

    Nice one I’ll def give them a call. What would difference in paint be vs duplicolor ?
