Absolutely dirt cheap, blows my mind they can manufacture these for such a low cost. It's certainly tempting considering a pro rebuild of the carbs would probably cost more.

What compressions do you have in the cylinders. If front cylinder wont pull the fuel in it may need the valves resetting or new rings.

I've got about 175 psi on the rear, and around 160 on the front cylinder (problem carb).
Manual says 185psi, considering it's done 60k surely enough to pull fuel. I might try swapping jets from rear carb to front and see if it's the jetting or a carb body obstruction.

So i've put the carbs back on, looks like there a tiny bit of fuel getting through on open throttle, but not enough to fire the cylinder at idle, or up to revs. Definitely a blocked pilot or similar. @Gizziracer want to sell me some Chinese carbs? :D

Well, thanks for everyone's help, after a few days of compression testing, carbies off x 5 times, believe it or not, i only needed to blow out the float bowl breathers (front one blocked), once I did this, the front cylinder started working at idle smooth as silk.
At least I know the carbs are clean, just need to reset mixtures and balance. Thank again @Gizziracer !

And the true beauty of the mighty Spada is that after 30 years it will more than likely run perfectly once tuned, start on the button for years, (as long as it’s not left sitting for months unused) and handle like it’s on rails even though it still has the original grease in the steering and swing arm bearings.. totally amazing little bike

Yes the breathers would do that... you need atmospheric pressure acting on the fuel bowls for the system to work :thumb_ups:

It's not that I couldn't work out what all this garbage on my phone does, it's just that if my life had been reduced to wasting what is left of it on such puerile nonsense then I might as well kill myself now.
