Hey all. First of all let me apologise for my absence: Got out of the habit, I'm sorry. Will try to be back more often!

Now my query is this: Have any other VJF riders had any issues with their rear shocks? I just got mine back from it's 30,000km service with my new (harder better faster stronger) mechanic, where I was informed my rear shock absorber had stopped absorbing. Some playful shoves on my behalf confirmed; there was no more dampening in that, just a bouncy spring. Ride-wise I had noticed it bouncing a bit, but always put it down to use. I have taken the poor girl through some tricky spots after all.

Luckily I've dug up a spare very VERY cheap from a tassie wreckers to tide me over, though if it fails too I wouldn't mind an aftermarket, if anyone knows of any that fit?

Might keep my old one so I can peruse through wreckers and see if any of the hondas or others fit. You never know.

Anyways, there's my update/query. Hello again!

    Artemis.

There is a place in Brisbane that can rebuild your old shock for usually 1/2 the price of a new/aftermarket one. Think they are called; RAD motorcycle shock repairs (or something like that).

Well, I found one from a tassie wreckers parting a daelim out for $70 icl. postage. Was 120 but it seems he had issues shifting it. Anyways, the claim is it's in 'barely used' condition so... Worth a punt.

But thanks for the links guys :)
