Cold starts require fuel and a good spark. Together with your stalling issue it does not add up to the wrong size of emulsion tubes.

I think the accelerate wear rate is as a result of the hole in the slides wearing oval allowing the needle extra movement forwards and backwards which wears out the emulsion tubes more quickly as a consequence

For four years ago, the needles could be ordered at Yamaha. I should have done that, but that is too late.
I can imagen that those needles are somewhere, probably a company who does buy old stuff from Yamaha.
Anyone ideas where those can be?

I can try megazip, but I suppose the same thing is going to happen as with Impex.
I mailed Impex if they are going to be so kind to they refund my money.

Keyster kits from Motorcycle spares warehouse
    https://www.motorcyclespareswarehouse.com.au/search?q=FZR250+carb

FWIW - I tried the kits from ebay/aliexpress and the actual holes in the emulsion tubes are 2.52mm not 2.59mm so I don't consider them close enough to correct spec to work properly and they will wear quickly

I outlined the details in this thread
