Shipping time for new valve shims is 15 business days... No one in NZ stocks 1.70mm. need 8 of them. Put the old ones back in for now. With the compression test, I got 105psi across all 4 cylinders. I got the same reading when I rebuilt my MC22 engine. ~100 across all 4. Maybe there is a limitation with my guage setup and the small cylinder size thus not being able to produce peak psi? Or does the check valve totally eliminate this issue? I did calibrate the guage with the one on the air compressor, they read the same @ 120 psi. Cheers
The capacity of the combustion chamber is about 5cc, so the line etc is going to make a big difference.
Probably better to do a leakdown test to confirm where any loss of compression is going.. ring, valves etc. As @maelstrom says above... the 5cc is miniscule really and when you look at expansion of hose, length of hose etc it is almost amazing you are registering any pressure at all.

It's only required for first time registration in NZ. If the bike has been registered here previously it can be re-registered regardless of not having ABS
Hello. Just want to clarify one thing. What year is the green bike and has it been registered in NZ then. So the rule is if it has been registered in NZ before 1st April 2020 you can revin it without having to put on ABS. Hope this helps.
