Agree... pretty much all International freight is expensive now... and CMSNL ship fro the UK or Netherlands.. and it is a long way down under.
I brought in a Diagnostic reader for the Rover and it was about $36 for freight.. insured via British Post. Got here in about a week but the parcel was only 75mm x 65mm x 30mm. Weighed nothing either...

Well.. I worked out last night that the few items I need on the SRX, if I bought them through Megazip would be US$57.62 (A$80.85) freight included...
If I order them from Trooper LU they are A$44.45 plus local freight.. at worst $25. That is as long as Trooper Lu or Yamaha have the parts in Australia... that could be the issue.

4 mins from Brisbane to Townsville. Beam me Up, Scotty!!....

FYI, cmsnl homepage is smothered with "we've dropped our freight while everyone else is increasing theirs". Could be worth a second look if you need rare genuine parts.

Seems to be a day for deliveries... mine arrived from Impex... a set of fork seals and fork dust covers... well that was what my order was.
The box that arrived was 68cm long, 20cm wide and 12 cm high... hmm I though... slight overkill for 120g of seals.
    What was inside?????
    IMG_6442.jpeg

A grill for a Suzuki car of some sort... ummm not mine.
I now have some sort of apology from Impex.... although they wanted more proof.. like a copy of the Air Waybill..
Apparently they tell me it is their fault... (really!!!!) and my parts are there still and they will ship them today.
Oh.. and can I hang onto the part that arrived as it is for someone here in Australia who may still want it...
Maybe they do but I wont be sending it to them..
Stay tuned for the next episode.......

Why not? If impex gives you a refund to post it, or you go reply pay, it won't be out of your pocket.

    The postman has been busy:

Plus a mid-body gasket that is the size of your little fingernail, which came in a jiffy bag - seemed overkill, but that means it is tracked. And I also received my rates notice, so it's been an expensive month! Rice and gravy....

Well so far the only thing Impex have done is ship my item... I would have preferred them not to and just refund everything but...
Their only response to my request for a refund of the "overcharged" freight is "thank you for contating Impex"
    nothing more.
I doubt they will refund me... and they probably wont contact the other person unless they query where their item is.
I wont be ignorant about it... but I will not do anything for Impex out of my pocket.

So I had 2 deliveries (well 2 that relate to bikes) today... my repackaged correct parts from Impex in a standard A5 DHL airbag... but surprisingly no refund or response from them..maybe I should sell the Suzuki Grill to re-coup my costs :)
The other shipment was my rim and front axle from Zenmarket... extremely well packaged and costing $20 more to freight than the fork seals..
More info in my SRX thread

The rim look's really nice , should polish up nicely :thumb_ups:.

The other 3WP rim i mentioned earlier is pretty well filthy , i couldn't even tell if the rim lips where damaged or not. It's like the previous owner was a member of the dirty scum bag wheel club :fuckyou:.

Would you like me to send the part's that i have here for you , as you'll need the part to center the wheel in the fork's.

I am pretty happy with the rim....The correct spacer came with the axle (the spacer is different to the 51Y) so the only part I will eventually need will be the speedo hub... but hang onto that as I will be up your way before I am even close to needing that :)

Not yet. Still working on the design. Besides, it has been so hot in not sure it would cool enough to set at the moment. Yuck!
