Gidday, just brought a "1991" GSXR250 GJ72A (might be an 89 model though) with you guessed it, missing flywheel magnets! Will search through this site and find some nuggets of information

The phrase "there's always someone worse off than yourself" springs to mind...

I was annoyed by having a couple of cracked magnets, but at least they're all still there!

Fingers crossed you find some to get back in there... let us know where you got them when you do.

    :welcome:

My 2 cents, swap out the alternator for one from a different model.

Got the old girl running tonight and yesterday (public holiday in New Zealand for ANZAC). Bit smokey at first but it might be ok. I will need to track down a vacuum gauge to make sure the carbs are properly balanced but so far so good. And need to track down a good choke cable set up. Left one does not pull the same as the right so bit of jumpstart spray on the left carb helps lol.

Engine smokey as so no good. However, luckily I have found a lower km engine for $250 locally with a good flywheel attached hopefully, only missing pick up coils buy thats not a problem as my electrics and ign work fine, fingers crossed about to inspect the spare motor tonight
