Just a quick review on this product.

Autosol Metal Lifesaver. Bought some from the local Bunnings after reading about it. Thought I would try it out on the VFR exhaust headers which had turned a dark brown colour. Autosol metal polish wasn't working at all - which usually it does.

I just followed the directions on the bottle. I ended up cutting up an old car wash sponge into a small size cube and used it to wipe on the Autosol metal life saver and kept putting it on - keeping the surface and the liquid in a liquid state and not letting it dry out as per instructions.

You can see the difference in the photos. The dark brown areas are where I didn't put any autosol on. No effort needed at all, as each time I wiped on some more of the metal life saver with the sponge, it just removed more of the brown stain on the exhaust. Then just rinsed it off with water.

What you see in the photos is straight after washing and drying the header pipe. No polishing done yet. Next job will be to get the buffing wheels and compound out for a nice shine, once I get the rest of the headers done.
