Good little bikes the new CBR250's, for what they are. Only ever seen one that someone managed the kill the engine (rod knock) through lack of maintenance. For the ABS versions, doing steering head bearings is a pain as the ABS line is bolted to the frame very close to the lower bearing race.

They also come with those horrible stock tyres that the Ninja 250/300's came with, they are ill performing rubbish, replace them ASAP. Anything is better. Personally I'd go for something in radial construction. Michelins Street Radials are a decent choice.

I missed my 2011 cbr250 enough I bought it back, then it sat in the garage for over a year untouched. Blast and a half in the twisties, but a bit of pain to slog the 90 minutes or so to where it was any fun. If you decide to throw aftermarket exhaust at it and want a bazzaz FI controller, LMK! I've posted it for sale as "make an offer" several times and nobody has bit. Did that with the leo vince gp corse full exhaust system (loud a.f. even with baffle in) and it took over 3 years to get someone to make an offer. Dude got an unscratched full exhaust system for $20 and a 6 pack (his offer was $20, my counter was $20 + 6 pack"

Well sold the 2nd FZR250 now there both gone, currently fixing up the 2011 CBR250R, has not been ridden since 2017 and the fuel in the tank was rancid, have de rusted the tank and put fresh fuel in it. Wont start looks like the fuel pump is stuffed I removed it and put 12VDC on it, does not do anything. New fuel pump ordered. Also checked that I have spark and have cleaned the injector.
