    called in at a friends pylace this morning. ants have made a nest in his digital speedo!i have thought of sucking the eggs out with a vacuum cleaner. any body have any other ideas as i figure a new speedo would not be cheap. ideas would be much appreciated.

    That's 1 part baking soda to 1 part icing sugar, apparently it fizz's in their guts and their stomach's explode

    eggs have gone but ants are active. hot sun did the job- bike not under cover tonight so hopefully cold will kill the little beasties

    Hi Risky. There is stuff called Ant Rid. You just put a little pool of this stuff next to where the ant's are entering the instrument's and it they will take the poison back to the nest and knock them off.

    Sorry, there is no substitute for opening things up and cleaning them out with air/tooth brush.
    Unfortunately, their secretions can be corrosive to pcbs and components.
    You want to get them out before they cause any harm.

    eggs have been moved to who knows where and as it is cold here today most ants have disappeared. hopefully this cold night will finish them off.
