This project stalled, then I sold a few parts off the trackbike to customers so it all just fell in a heap.

I managed to find a 1990 mc22 in rocky and @ShaneP picked it up and delivered it yesterday, today I set about doing the front end, new headstem bearings fitted, fork seals done , I already had new tyres on black rims so they are now fitted as well, quick action throttle is on. Painted up some of the brackets.

If I have time tomorrow, the carbs be stripped and cleaned and balanced

Need some rear sets , oemmair filter and brake pads, just trying to work out if I buy Tyga rearsets or go Chinese, my head said Tyga.

    What's wrong with OEM rearsets?

Next job is the brakes, I have some HEL braided lines, am sourcing some sintered pads and brake piston seals so It can stop as good as it goes. I am also getting my raceglass tonight , very excited about this bike, its been too long since I have been on the track.

Faster riders find that OEM pegs touch the ground on tight corners. I am not fast enough yet, so wouldn't know.

new sintered pads all round and braided lines with fresh brake fluid.

Carbs were balanced and a new OEM air filter fitted ( thanks @xcitebikes ) , carbs were way out, but are now humming along nicely, ran the bike up to temp and the thermo fan is working. I also fitted 112 main jets across all 4 carbs and used matching velocity stacks.

Could be a really good weekend given how many 2fiftycc folks have committed to go. All we need is a GSXR to complete the Japanese I4 250cc quadrella. Is Bumble Bee running? Bring your MC22 and get Phil on the GSXR!

    Murdo - CBR250 (mc19)
    Risky - FZR something
    Linkin - ZXR250C
    Frankster - ZXR250A
    Grey - maybe
