At least with 2 bleed points in each caliper, it SHOULD be easier to get rid of that excess air one would hope any thoughts on a replacement screen for the SRX? I did look when I first got it, but while it was listed on a couple of the (mainly American) sites, no one wanted to post one. Currently thinking of buying the appropriate piece of suitable plastic? perspex? whatever the current material is and cutting and shaping it myself. I have made screens and even visors in the past but not for some years now and the size and shape of the original is fairly simple. I have a broken one(in several pieces) as a guide
Hmm maybe, although 4 pistons per caliper will make it interesting. Can’t help on the screen unfortunately. Mine won’t run a top fairing etc so I don’t have anything along those lines. @2valve May have a spare that you could possibly get a template from. Or tape together your shattered one, make a template and get the heat gun out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Getting there, not had much time lately to do to much on Rex but fitted the fairing and screen and fired it up, sounds ok, idles almost ok, a bit of smoke coming of the engine as the oil I must have slopped about burns off
Congratulations Oigy on bringing the bike back to life and also keeping the bike in stock trim. The panel's still have nice colour in them , even after all these year's. My bike wasn't so fortunate as your's , mine where pretty faded. When rego time comes , are you going with classic rego or keep it on normal rego ?.
Sounds about the same as the stock one, it has the standard collector box under the engine and that knocks out a lot of the noise. If you listen to the video above, that has that pipe on it. I have that muffler and another short modern Akraprovic Chinese Rip off I am considering, not sure which way I will go yet
When its time to rego (and I still have it) would go the normal rego, I have enough commitments for my time without adding to them by joining another club and obligations that involves, anyway, they don't cost that much to rego
