That'd be interesting! I gave up on swapping Ninja 400 into MC22 frame because swingarm attaches to engine. Haven't been able to find any diagrams on how ZX4R is configured.
Good Lord Kawasaki, could you detune it anymore? and for just a little more I think we can confidently say to the twin cylinder thing, "Eat sh*t and die".
IF he's for real [not saying he's not, but always trust but verify] - that's the sort of power output you'd be expecting from that bike after ~30+ years of advancements in metalurgy, EFI and all of the other performance enhancing developments. They'll certainly get a market boost if that's achievable at reasonable cost
Seems like it is just the US & Canadian version that is pathetic. There’s a proviso here, though, as Kawasaki says the power level may vary by market, and while it looks like Europe will get the fastest models, some places make do with much less powerful variants. In the USA, for instance, it appears the ZX-4R is restricted to 42kW (56.3hp), and in Australia the power is pegged at 55kW (73.8hp). Revs appear to be the limiting factor, with Aussie models peaking at 14,500rpm and Canadian versions revving no higher than 11,500rpm. In Europe, the ZX-4R is expected to go beyond 15,000rpm and the photos show a red line of 16,000rpm, suggesting we’ll get the full 76.4hp. https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/reviews/bikes/kawasaki/ninja-zx-4rr-2024-review The Thai version has redline at 16000 and claims 75ps. I assume it is the maximum version. Another US version dynoed They might release an Z400RS version too. A baby Kwaka 9
If that bike is popular and sells well there is going to be a de-restriction fest going on worldwide because one thing guys are addicted to is MOAR POWAH!
