After selling the ZZR250 late last year. My son picked this up from the motorcycle dealership at Dubbo. Nice CB400 Super Four.. Needs a little bit of a cosmetic clean up, but otherwise, all really good. "Brocky" our Maltese/Shitzu cross decided to "photo bomb" the third photo.. Bike has cleaned up well. Needed a new headlight as the reflector had cracked. Removed the LED spotlights. Didn't like them. So if anyone is interested in them, send me a PM, will be happy to sell them. Tacho wasn't working at the time of pickup last year. Bike shop told me it was a sensor in the engine that was the problem.. but i think that they might have thought it was the ECU as I was asking for my deposit back and was wanting to walk out the door. But the shop owner came out and started negotiating a lower price and cheaper deals on tyres. They said the tyres were road legal and provided a pink slip etc with the bike... don't know how. they had less than 2mm of tread depth left.. No way I would let my tyres get that low. So ended up pickup up the bike and trailering it back to Tamworth. Found that the tacho issue was just a bad connection. When we removed the LED spot lights it looked like a wire had been wrongly cut/spliced by the previous owner when they installed the lights. Fixed the wire and the tacho came to life.
Have also purchased the missing grab rail and will now be fixing 2 small 50cent sized dents in the tank and then a respray. But now my son has decided that riding is not for him... sort of. He now wants to save up for a Can Am Ryker instead... So after fixing a few cosmetics, looks like I'll have this up for sale in the coming months. Pity. its a great fun bike to ride.. Reminds me of my old GSXR400 (1984).. the sound from that staintune pipe is really something. I'd be tempted to keep it myself, but, I would rarely ride it enough to warrant keeping it.
