Nope LOL, I took it out to have a look and give it a clean without undoing the Phillips screw due to it being stripped and tried to put it back on obviously wrong. I hope I haven't ruined anything else.

Have a read here about the CCT

    http://2fiftycc.com/index.php?threads/shauns-zxr250-a-model-build-thread.1310/page-2

Did u hit it with a hammer ??

Seriously though u cant go too hard on these old bikes , especially with castings and alloy... u should be using a tension/torque wrench with the more "vital" parts ...and if your not sure how to do something .....read the manual, google it, or ask here .........or all of them :D

The screw is stripped because its not a philips , its a JIS

Broken bits go hand-in-hand with older bikes I've learnt but fortunately Kiffsta had a spare one for ya mate :) I recently found out the screws on ZXR's are not actually normal Phillips head, instead they are JIS(as stated by Greyimport above) and require the JIS(Japanese industrial standard) screwdriver to prevent stripping screws. Definitely a must have for the tool collection :thumb_ups:

2 young guys at Blackwoods jumped on google and sat there scratching their heads....but were happy to learn something new :thumb_ups:

I've been told by a reliable source that cam chain tensioners from the GpX250 and ZZR250 engines will also fit the ZXR. I haven't double checked this but, as you can see from the photo, they look very much the same. I wouldn't be surprised if the newer 250 Ninja had the same tensioner set-up.

I would hazard a guess that they are one of the same. Why change, wether it be a twin or 4 cylinders the unit need not change, performing exactly the same task.

Grey, good find on the screwdrivers. Have you seen any (no luck myself) of the removable tips to fit into driver handles, really need a number 3 type for my impact driver.

Vessel are a Japanese company and this is the North American distributor ..... you can buy directly from them but their shipping rates are a shocker ....

And these are a ridiculous price also.......
