Doing full led upgrade on the cbx cluster from old amber 4w bulbs to led strips. Will provide a great view at night and easier to see during the day. Original. All parts out includint wiring. Shitty old reflectors removed. Resprayed inside more maximum reflective surface. Once the paint dries in 24hrs i will inlay the led strips rewire the plugs to suit and bang she will light again.
Good luck with it. I found that with the LEDs being polarity sensitive I couldn't get a neutral light to work. Others here have had same trouble.
Can you elaborate a little please? I know that if you flip the led bulb it doesnt work so one way. But what happens in regards to the neautral? And is this only for neutral? Thanks murdo
It must be possible to get them to work from the neutral switch, but it would need to be wired correctly or maybe using a relay. I gave up and just live without the light.
@Darren popped over today for a quick service on his SV650, new plugs, oil and filter plus a new Screaming Demon pipe, what a great sound, I will let Darren post the vid or it running
Great catch up with @kiffsta for a few beers today, a quick service on the SV and also fitted a new Screaming Demon Muffler. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10206624771271292
I didn't really give it enough to see if their was a power gain, but she was alot smoother on the changes!
picked up a Russian IZH 250 2 banger for a mate who is getting it shipped to Townsville, pretty cool machine, even got the sidecar in the Jeep !!!
How cool is that, doesn't that engine remind you of the early Yamaha 250 2 stroke. Then you get a sidecar, man that is awesome. Question....does it start?????
Good score! These things viabrate, rattle and ride like crap, but will do so for ever with no maintance. Don't know how well the four stroke mufflers will work on it.
Changed the swingarm bearings on my Honda FT500. While I had the chain off I gave it a good clean and heated it in the Duckhams grease. Will leave to drain overnight and refit in morning.
