:thumb_ups:What a excellent job, welldone.look after that engine while running in,no more than 4000 rpm first 500ks-change oil and no more than 6000 rpm next 500,after that you should be good.
    looks a treat...ken

Sorry its been so long between posts, its sort of been a bit hectic here.

The little racer was finished in time for the DGR in Melbourne and performed quite well. It also a lot of inqiuiries as to the make
as there are no makers badges on it.

It has since been gently run in and had 2 oil changes, as required on a re-built motor.
I changed the main jet back to std (115) as it was getting way too much fuel with the 125 fitted,as was evident by some very black sooty plugs.
With the std I'm getting a cough at 8K rpm, so I suspect i need to go to a 175 or120 main.
It has also now got a oil leak from, of all places the cam chain tensioner. I have effected a temporary repair while I await the arrival of a new seal.

Its fun to rattle around the local streets, but the Club ride next week will be its first serious ride.

I think it's at a point where work now is tuning and fettling minor thing.
To this end, I have blown the budget and bought another bike,
Yes, another Suzuki, but bigger, a 1983 GSX750ES In pretty good condition, but in dire need of some TLC.

I will still hang around here offering any help I can, as I have found this a good place with no politics

    More photos soon

This is the running but almost finished effort.
There is always something that needs to be changed or modified on this type of project.. :)

Its been a while since I was here last
The jets have been changed to a 118 main and 120 pilot, runs well, no flatspots. :)
Got clocked at $1.20 on a speed trial recently, not too shabby I think.

A Great job, I love the lines as a cafe racer, I used one of those fuel tanks on an NSU 250 Max I raced years ago, really set off the looks, closest I could get to the factory alloy tanks that NSU used on their production racers.
I'll try & upload some photos of this NSU, as they always say you look back & regret some of the Bikes you have sold over the years.

We say $1.20 over here so we don't put in writing that we actually went over the 100Km/h limit admitting an offence.
