Welcome to the forum Glenn, the 250 bandit is a very cool bike, and should be easy to ride and maintain :)

Bike starts, isles at 4000rpm. Has an inline fuel filter that just won't fill with fuel. Have stripped carbies, stripped the fuel tap, cleaned a heap of gunk out. But still won't idle down. Could it be the fuel pump side of the fuel tap?

Does the idle adjuster make a difference when turned?

plastic filters in low pressure systems always have air pockets... :/ if its running at 4000 rpm... the filter aint the problem...

Hey Glen, is there any freeplay in the throttle cable, you might have to adjusted up to high hence why its revving up to 4000 RPM
