    Hey all!

I own and care for a 1993 Kawasaki ZXR 250 - been riding for a bit under two years, live in SE Suburbs in Melbourne and i'm always finding more things to fix on this little ninja xD

As it stands - repainted her from the gawdaweful bright metallic blue that she was. There was overspray everywhere I looked, job was poorly done so that had to be changed.

She's had a good go-over by my mechanic but still I keep finding things that I need to look at hah.

    - Speedo Cable does NOT want to work properly (flutters all over the place and won't go over 60)
    - ALL OF THE ENGINE RATTLES - Pretty sure the cam chain needs doing, or at least the tensioner needs a rebuild
    - Left Fork seal needs replacing AGAIN. (replaced when the roadworthy was originally done)
    - Erratic idling, sometimes it just won't idle right - 90% of the time happily sits at 2k rpm but others? 4k or so.
    - Rear brakes need a good bleed, but i'm just a bit too lazy to do that >.>
    - Front right disc rubs on the calliper. Pretty sure that it needs a spacer on the axle to force the fork out to give it clearance.....

Things that I have found out about this bike though - ITS SO MUCH FUN!
I need an exhaust, like. Yesterday. Stock note is too quiet and after I took the exhaust off the other night I now need more noise in my life :p

I also replaced the front brakes at the time of roadworthy with a set of Vesrah ones from Supercheap (On clearance $29 ea side) and damned if they don't stop HARD when I need them to.

So yeah, that's my ramble - looking forward to spending some time and money to get this piece of work fixed :p

Thanks!! That's actually really helpful - it has been feeling really sluggish recently especially through 6-8k. Mad.

Air leak through the airbox? Or through those airbox-carb seals?

It makes sense though, as it kinda went away last night and was riding properly again after riding home from work, but its been doing it all week before that

could be the airb-carb seal, O-rings in the carbs them selves, cracked or broken vacuum lines, carb boots... any air leaks in those areas can mean lack in performance..

Hah yeah, those rear brakes still work fine - just need a bleed to bring up the pressure. Not too fussed about it right now as really, I barely use it and when I do its just for super slow speed control.

I'm down SE Melb, so you know - Moorabin kinda area

    Welcome to the forums. :)

Plenty of other ZXR owners here, you'll be in good company.
