ok so today i put kit back together and took her for a strap... from 2nd into 3rd gear it struggles past 16k. and 3rd into 4th it seems to sit around 16 and the revs wont pic any higher... and cruising around in higher gears it likes to bog down a light.. So she loves the mid revs ATM.. so off come the carbs again and will clean them again... How ever when putting the carb-airbox seals in.. one was smaller and kept pulling up out of the channel.. I get a feeling it wasn't in the channel when I screwed the airbox down.. Could that air leak have something to do with it? I would post a video but I dont trust youtube.. did fix the exhaust leak.. turns out 2 nuts were lose.. only other thing is now.. the 2 middle headers are hot but not has sizzling water hot like 1 and 4 Update.. I have spoken to maelstrom and he is replacing the seal for me..
I think this is the problem. I googled them both. B is of a C model. And the M is off A model. Thank the motorbike gods I have a parts bike. So spot on again @Th3_Huntsman
Sho Showered me with praise prematurely. They are both A model Cdi's however sice you have 2 try the other one to rule out cdi as a problem
Ok so after some digging these are both A model CDI's.. and there is even another CDI (I can't remember the number of it tho)... So does anyone know the differences between the CDI's?
The two you have are just what was available at the time from denso for the A model. The c model one is completely different as they run a different engine internally ie. bore and stroke, different cams so therefore run different ignition timing. The below thread is a useful read about it http://2fiftycc.com/index.php?threads/zxr250a-vs-zxr250c.1952/
that is the tread I did some of my research on... I'm just curious to know if there is any difference between the 3 models of CDI...

Oh I see lol, I believe there is not a difference I think the M cdi came on later A models so maybe it superseded the B cdi. That's just heresay but makes sense to me.
OK so these are the different types.... 21119-1290 21119-1263 21119-1322 I'm guessing the top 2 are A models and the last is C model... But every time I dont get specs...
Ok today I started kit with the different CDI and it ran on all four and idle smooth.. very smooth... Sadly i am waiting for the last carbi/airbox seal.... So I cant take her out and see how she goes through the gears..
This is the reving issue Im having... I have changed the CDI and put the stock exhaust back on since this video.. but am waiting on the new airbox seal.. so have not had a chance to ride it yet... Only time I was off the throttle was to changing gears.
Are you certain that some of that isnt actually clutch slip? when you next ride it adjust ye olde clutch
I will show you the full video on the weekend mate... Wouldnt the clutch slip at the start of gears as well?
