Hi guys... Im having trouble scouring parts for my c1 model 91 zxr. Im after a full carby kit for all 4 carbs Wouldnt mind getting ahold of timing chain that isnt split and also big end bearings, rod bearings, valves, valve stem seals, buckets n shims, head to exhaust manifold gaskets, and also all the other associated parts like sump gaskets n clutch cover gaskets n blah blah blah... basicly im trying to get all the parts together to achieve a full engine rebuild... any sort of help or advice is greatly appreciated!

I have the litetek kit in my carbs and after cleaning the jets the bike starts without a choke now too. And they are a good price too.
Partzilla is always a good source ... http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/kawasaki/KP-12004-1106.html Sump gasket http://www.millwaysparesonline.com.au/partFinder/fiche/105312 http://www.ebay.es/itm/KAWASAKI-ZXR...pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item2c864778c0
Man thats awsome! thanks heaps GreyImport... ill give the part number thing a go. yeh ive already got the litetec kit tim, recived it in the post last week, ive got the sigma jet kit aswell but I think ill end up throwing it in the bin lol.
Ive come across an old dude that use to own two wheeled wreckers here in Western Australia, I spoke to him about my bike n what I had planned for it n basically this is what he told me... " son, if your trying to give lessons to kawasaki on how to make reliable horsepower then good luck to you" he also said that if I were to install the kit it would most likely burn a hole in number 4 piston over time. I somewhat belive him but ill do more research on the subject before I do bin it lol
Exactly ..... the Japanese engineers of the day certainly would know wat they were doing. The best thing to do with jets is clean them correctly and blow them out with compressed air Make sure they are correct and stock sizes noting that inline 4s can have different sizes on the outer cylinders to the 2 inner. And lastly to treat them with kid gloves when removing and refitting as they are brass , and in the case of pilot jets the slot can turn to mush very quickly, so use a correctly fitting tool
GreyImport... ive got a brand new unifilter here ready to go on the bike. As far as I can tell the bike still has its factory exhaust but would you say that the bike would require jetting to accommodate the unifilter or will it be fine?
I would look at something like a unifilter as just a 'high quality' replacement for the stock issue filter. As Tim alludes to , it works ..... but then isnt your bike going like a bag of **** Tim?? .... just kidding mate! My C model came with a unifilter also .... but it was a shed buy and its in pieces now so I cant vouch for it. The thing is its the airbox it sits in that controls alot of the airflow ..... thats why they are so big and clunky at times with a maze for the air to flow thru. Ive also read that , for the same reason, u can have much more success with pods if u put just a simple elbow pipe between the carb and pod. thats my take on it anyway
Yeh ill stick with the unifilter then... I should probably start posting in my build thread hahaha thanks heaps for the help n advice guys
FOUND NEW BOTTOM END BEARINGS N OTHER STUFF FOR SALE yep, but there is a catch... its from china ... so would u still buy??? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Crankshaft-...ize-/261547028590?hash=item3ce56af06e&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/Valve-Stem-...ust-/261563398516?hash=item3ce664b974&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/Valve-Stem-...Pcs-/301255840478?hash=item46243f52de&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/Piston-ring...Parts_Accessories&hash=item43ccb5839b&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/Connecting-...ize-/261547024525?hash=item3ce56ae08d&vxp=mtr
Your not chasing a CDI by an chance are you? just found out my bike has been running the wrong one.. lol
hahaha I was gonna say, how the fcu* can u tell if its wrong cdi? from what I could tell my cdi has never been changed, im not real sure on that though, when the bike was running it would always rev clean and pull real hard so I think im all good, touch wood lol.
