Yea Im with u there ......... we are going to get some 400 springs for the Grasshopper 3LN3 to see how they go ...... but the $$$ are a bit short ATM so not sure when it will happen.
But we will start with heavier fork oil and see wat happens from there as that needs replacing anyway.

I was hoping to rouse some interest in splitting shipping costs on fork valve emulators but got no takers...the shipping was coming in at about 100% over the actual item cost

    I'm still interested though...

    Silly question......

Can't we replace the forks with another bikes set? On the old FZR250 site, I believe it was an FZR 1000 a guy was building and used a set of R1 forks? Can we not do that? I've seen a couple of bike builds that use this. Upside down forks seem to be a favorite as well.

Find a bike with similar fork length? Especially if it's for a bike that is popular, parts and so will be easier to source to change spring rates, etc.

Zxr250 usd forks are a popular change. As they are the most adjustable out of the inline 4 screamers forks.

I don't see why not... I have been told on here that MC22 owners use the ZXR USD forks and that conversion works..

FZR forks are very basic especially compared to the USD ZXRs which have multiple adjustments.

Id prefer to put the effort into putting the R6R rear shock in and just taking out some of the 'dive' under braking in the front end with minimal effort and cost.

I fitted FZR250 3LN forks with YSS PD Emulators to my R1-Z 250.
The slightly heavier spring rate suited the lighter 2 stroke with me onboard.
Whatever forks you have you still need to set then up to get the best from them.

Canadian here. Not sure I can get in with this group buy but I'd be sorta interested if we're talking about 175 CND for some 250 springs ;)

The previous posts are quite old. As I posted in this thread, check with your local spring factory first.
