Hi my name is Matt, just recently got my hands on a 1989 cbr250r mc19 and it is a great change from the old Suzuki maurader I used to ride. haven't got any shots I can upload just yet but i'm also planning on changing the fairing soonish anyway as it is looking a bit old.
Cheers, to be honest I stumbled across it looking for fairing kits and found a thread, figured it'd be a good idea to join up for the knowledge side of things
Hey Matthew Welcome to the forum and another Brisbane Cibby owner to boot, I'm out on the Bayside check out Xcitebikes.com.au for new panels, Omar has a good selection at the right price. Cheers Chris @XCite Bikes
That's what got me here in the first place already chatting with him about that. now all I need to do is decide on the new fairings and save some of the cash in the budget
to the forum Matthew, nice bike the cbr250. When you get around to it post a photo of your ride, we like photo's on here.
managed to get a couple up please let me know if these aren't working, work computer seems to be blocking it for me OR I stuffed up the upload
still thinking of updating the look a little with some fresh fairings though. but yeah, I do enjoy it
I can tell the neighbours aren't real keen if I leave for work early or get back late but I love it too
Sweet looking bike. If you start to cop it about noise, tell the neighbours that your selling the bike and buying a truck that will be parked in the street! One that will need 1/2 hour of idleing at 4am every morning before you do 15 gear changes to the end of the street (ask me how I know). My neighbours never say boo about my bikes warming up at 9am.
I'm lucky that the neighbours a couple of doors up have several bikes too so I don't think anyone can pin bike noise at random times on me alone. I think the neighbours are used to it now anyway!
lol, they are ok with it in reality, there are a few bikes around and mine isn't the loudest of them, I think they actually prefer it to my patrol warming up in the morning anyway.
