What Tyre Pressures are u using ?

    What pressures are u guys running on your 250s?

    FZR specs state....

    ...which seem very low! .......made for little Japanese men :confused: (Im about 100kg :D )

    221kpa = 32psi

    I run 230kpa in mine but I have hopped onto a couple of scooters that had about 10-15 psi. I managed to survive the first corner curse the last guy that was riding it and limp to the closest servo and put around 30psi from memory

    33 front 38 rear and 65kg :p

    The ninja 300 says 29 front 32 rear in the manual so i guess it all depends on the bike and tyre brand?

    Im not sure this could apply to bikes as well but with cars Ive always believed that the car makers recommend low pressures for ride comfort but the tyre makers recommend higher pressures as it makes the tyre wear better and last longer.... ;)

    Im sure the best pressures are dependent on bike,rider,available suspension variables etc but it looks like about 32-34 front and 36-38 would be a good starting point. :thumb_ups:

    On Pirelli Sport Demons about 30 front, 32 rear.
    I used to run 38 front and rear.


    And I'm 109kg.


    38 was a bit more tippy and responsive but took a bit longer to warm up and didnt feel as confident with the brakes.

    Guys and gals can u post up what pressures u run presently and on what bike and if your a 50kg weakling or a 120kg fatass .... just to help out others

    I run 32 front and 35 rear from dead cold I also weigh 85ish kg on a light day lol

    30 front 34 rear cold, weigh about 85-90was running much higher but wasnt getting any feedback from the tires.

    26 front 29 rear but I avoid potholes like the plague :(..65kg..bridgestone bt90's..fork preload min, rebound near max..rear cbr900 shock pretty much min compression, rebound midway and preload set just over half..its wooly but proper planted..gets to the edge of the tyres and pegs down once warm with ease..higher pressures less 'feel' but better perceived grip..then the lap times say the opposite!!! This one's a non starter..so I'm off to try 32-36 as a bench line and see if starting from there can stop the shoulders overheating and peeling away..and no..it not excessive torque/power..:):):)

    I found with the Fizzer that going just 1 or 2 PSI either way made a difference ...... so experiment a little ..... I think my last ones were 34 /38 ..... with 110kg weighing down the riders seat ...... I have an oversize tyre on the rear also.

    36 front, 38 rear and same weight as grey.just i look better in my honest opinion.
