I gonna try disconnect the fuel line, attach some bottle with petrol and try to start. As well i gonna try to bump start and see what's happening or not!! if doesn't i gonna have to check the plugs to see if they are flooded after so many time. Let's pray.
How far from holsworthy are you. I might be able to swing by and give you a couple hours of a second pair of eyes at the very least.
I wouldn't use an external fuel bottle as the across has a pump and needs a certain amount of pressure to be fed into the carbs, also check your float valve , you want the rubber on the pointy end to be nice and soft
Sounds similar to mine the other day, which coincidentally is ecactly what kiffsta said about the choke
It's my dumb mind but i think my battery may be bad, because i have to recharge after feel attempt to start the bike. I gonna try other battery tomorrow to see if make a difference.
Lol I just used the choke. We will have to try arrange some time to meet Hey whats the deal with all the wires everywhere?
Maaaann, that will be great!! At least i can pay will feel beers if u drink!! I gonna ask my neighbour to jump start from his car and remove the spark plugs that may be flood aftet soo many try. Thanks for your help.
Ooohh, well. One of the ignition coil wasn't showing 12v. So I decide to track the wire to the cdi. All the tape was far gone so I decide to re-tape it.
I think Kiffsta is on the right track .....in general people think u need handfuls of throttle to start bikes .... most bikes have there own individual starting procedures , especially older ones. Dont forget u have changed things in the carbys etc so it may need a certain procedure to get it going. If its flooding your fighting a losing battle. And if the battery is shonky then the battle is lost .... as u well know! A good/new decent AGM battery , not a crappy chinese cheapo acid one, should withstand excessive cranking and being left idle for long periods.
So yesterday after organize every little bit of messy around the bike I decide to remove all 4 spark plugs, re-check the spark gap and spray some wd40 in the spark roles. Reinstall everything and the bike start like this in the video: Great news! Then I reassembly all the bits from the bike, re-done the wiring tape, put it in the correctly place and this morning took the bike for a ride. And exactly the same thing happens: Bike still dying after 1 to 2 blocks of street riding. The only different thing that I done to the bike was change the spark gap ( shorter than the factory setting ) and spray wd40 in the carbs. For now I gonna give a halt to this bike because I have to move of house and I gonna have to organize one of this guys to relocate my bike to kingsford - sydney. If you guys have some good mechanic for recommendation I guess is time to stop trying and pay someone to do the job. Thanks for all help guys!
