    Hi,
I'm glad to have found this forum. I was riding a 2009 Ninja 250 until my daughter was hit and totalled the bike in her high school parking lot. Thankfully, she was OK after some chiropractic treatments. We are looking for a new bike and believe we have settled on the new Ninja 300 with FI. We have heard many good things about the bike. My daughter is looking forward to the FI and not having to warm up the bike on cold mornings.

Anyone out there with experience on this bike with any advice. We hope to purchase a 2013 model due to the better looking (plain) paint work.

    Welcome David. :welcome:
She will still have to warm the engine before riding off but will be relived of the need for juggling the choke. From all I have heard they are a terrific bike.

    Hey David

The Ninja 300 is the 2nd best selling bike in Australia, only the trusty Posty bike outsells it. I have ridden one and its a great bike, one of my employees has one , he traded his 2009 Ninja 250r on it. His opinion is that the extra power in the 300 coupled with the larger rear tyre make for a much better riding experience. He has also commented the reliability on the 300 is excellent, he has done 25000 kms with no issues to date

    Cheers

    Chris

    Welcome to the forum David:welcome:
Your daughter was lucky, as for the Ninja 300 can't go wrong. These bikes have sold very well here in Australia and some of the comments I've heard are very complimentary. The riding position gets a big tick from most riders, couple that with FI and reasonable power, a winning combo!:thumb_ups:
Murdo is on the money with the choke scenario, the computer will elevate the revs until the temp rises and then return it to normal. Had a CBR Honda with FI, the initial process takes less than a minute and your on your way. Good luck.

What do you think about the ABS, its optional and I was wonderng if it was worth while to have. Didn't have it on my Ninja 250.

    Hi David
Haven't had any dealings with ABS on a bikes to date, think it's a personal choice.
