If you don't want to use a choke, buy a newer fuel injected bike, I do miss mine for that very reason.

Injector pulse width? Fuel pressure regulators? Injector cc's? Still heaps to go wrong with injection after fingers have played with it. :lolsign:

Hi guys. New to this forum but thought I'd put in my 2 cents. I have a mc19, not sure how it's compares to a mc22, but I have just rebuilt my carbs, all new jets etc and it never needs choke to start. Fires first time every time. The only difference I have found in my setup is two turns out on the pilot screws.

Only recently have I needed to use the throttle ever-so-slightly on first starts. But then it seems as though the carburettor is worse for wear when having such marauding episodes in-out-and-around...

    :lolsign: ... Sydney of course.

The choke option isn't my ideal first choice either :help:
