So basically what I learn from the mechanic today is what I already knew , just wish he had off just told me from the start when I explained the story to him the idiot . So anyways does Anybody know of any good leccys that know how to and have done before a fried cbr250rr?(long story short I crossed the jumpers) The mechanic told me what another user said , pretty much he can't be bothered ,( one thing he did say was their is no spark ???)because its 'old' I need my old bike to get to work everyday -.- Cheers as close to frankston / rosebud as possible , I don't have a car so I have to get mates to move it for me
Hey Jacob Sorry he wasted your time, its a bit piss poor... have a look in the yellowpages for a sparky. If your bike was okay prior to this, then its worth fixing , this guy has all the parts you need and seems close to you , harness, cdi and voltage regulator http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/mulgrave/motorcycles/cbr250rr-parts/1037336675 Maybe he could point you in the right direction as to someone who can help you swap them out. Told me it was in peace's and wasn't worth time ,(I took the fairings off and the fairings off only , if any more bits are missing I'm robbing a mechanics for my sh!t back ) and that it need an auto electrician because they cant get a spark they can't do a thing apparently . Which crap ... How hard is it to replace all the potentially damaged items
You need to get the whole thing back home and go thru it , starting with the suggestions we all made before. The electrical system is not that complicated and replacing components is not hard at all ..... I doubt the whole wiring loom and components are gone ..... even if they were, replacing the entire wiring loom and any component (RR,CDI ,relays. starter solenoid etc ) is simple enough if not fiddly with the wiring. You take photos and label as u go so you know where everything connects. And theres no point replacing everything till u work out what is damaged .... it could be just 1 simple thing. The CDI controls the spark/ignition so after checking fuses and for burnt wires/connectors Id be replacing it first.

As I mentioned most mechanics dont want to touch bikes that arnt the latest thing . Theres plenty of people right here on this forum that could rebuild a motorcycle with their eyes closed so you just need to ask questions and you will get plenty of help. I realise u need the bike for work but if you need it fixed "cheaply" and properly then u need to take the time and use the help available here
