whats peoples opinion on the 1989 250 spada , theres a project one for 500 asking price , all complete
Hard to pass up at that price... depending on how bad it is I guess... like most old bikes... it could end up a Money Pit... albeit a cool Money Pit.
I have no idea , but the frame gusset is down right wicked. Low seat height @ 740 mm (29 in), good for us short guy's.
They dont rev like the quarter litre 4's but have plenty of grunt and will hold their own with most similar size bikes. Comfy to ride as well... apparently. @Gizziracer is the resident Spada king.. he loves them
They are a great little bike. Relatively economical to repair. Certainly not a screamer like the little 4 cylinder bikes but very pleasant to ride. If I just want to go for a cruise, I jump on the Spada. My son ditched his GSXR600RR to ride my Spada from Melbourne to Broadford recently (200 - 300km round trip). He chose it for comfort. Cool people have ridden Spadas.
If its a $500 dunger then u must buy it .... its the forum rules Any photos of this beautiful machine?
sorry no photos at this stage , bloke reckons altogether and motor/clutch are free but maybe electrical prob
It doesn't take a lot of effort and $ to make them look like this. This was a low cost purchase (accident damaged) + a few hundred in parts and a bit of my time to strip, refurbish and put back together again. Now a very nice little run about.
I'm with the rest of the crew...do it. Great little bike. Like @jmw76 I take mine (my wife's) out whenever I just want a no fuss ride to the nearest town or a nice country road. Too easy.
damm left it to late , sold .. thats the trouble with being out in the sticks , anything decent is gone by the time do some reseach and do the traveling ... o well something else will turn up
Yes, at $500 I would have done it instantly, sorry I was so late to the party. Worth more than that as a wrecker.
