    Thanks, I think I solved it.
    Out of pure frustration I refitted the air box & it was perfect.
    The ultimate test will be when she is ridden.
    Tank's at the sand blasters so until it returns & I get it painted It'll have to wait.
    I was thinking about running Uni pods & ditching the airbox but that seems to be out.

    I also have to so the fork seals, do the Zeals run the same forks? I have had some failures recently not using genuine parts/seals.

    Fork seals are based on diameter of the shaft.

    What I have done to my bike today?

    Filled it with fuel and gave her a big run through glorious and Nebo with Marty.

    Nothing the guy I'm geting my spares bike from said to try the cdi aswell but it was the starter solinoid so got aspare one

    Actually rode it! Got me to and from work with no troubles! Just can't get rid of that dead spot might have to get some T seals

    I bought a new tank lock and know how to open the boot so pretty alright I guess!

    Theres so many carby rebuilds going on lately that I cant remember who has done what ... but have you checked all the jetting is correct?

    good to have you back GI!

    yeah I have its jetted up slightly to 128s and 125s instead of 125s and 122s I would wager to suit the pipe. Its gotta be an air leak as kiffsta once had. Same 6000-8000. Hesitation.
