I changed the oil last night, the oil that came out was okay, but smelt of fuel. I have adjusted the air fuel mix to 2 turns out and its running heaps better now, but I need to address the exhaust issue before playing too much as it is so bloody loud. Its revs very cleanly to 8000, I cant go much higher without ear plugs in a closed garage. :thumb_ups:

Over the weekend I replaced the broken clutch lever and fitted some new domino grips as she had MX grips fitted. I finally got the exhaust sorted by cutting off the factory can and had an adapter plate welded on so I can fit a 42cm carbon pipe supplied by @XCite Bikes. Now just waiting for the fork seals to show up and my care package from @Simon in the UK.

Chomping at the bit to ride this one.

My care package arrived from @Simon today, me thinks she is running a tad rich :thumb_ups:

I fitted almost all of the hoses Simon shipped me and she fired up with some coaxing, I blocked the vacuum line on cylinder 2 and it ran heaps better, need to back those air mix screws a bit and she is shooting flames out my new pipe and need get the Carbtune on and balance them. At least she runs again and its not so loud.

Now where are my bloody fork seals ?

I backed the air \ fuel mix screws to 1.5 turns out, she sounds heaps better and revs alot easier. Will get another video on the weekend.

well, my fork seals arrived so off to the garage I go, its like 2 steps forward then 3 back with this job, but they are finally done. One of the hex bolts on the front fender was rounded so that took some serious effort getting off, finally I got the forks out. I had plenty troubles getting the bottom hex out, but my air gun saved the day. I have to tell you the oil in these fork stink something chronic, I have cleaned everything fitted the new seals, filled with Castrol 10w oil, new dust seals as well. Pretty happy, now to get them back on the bike but not before a well earned beer.

The old seals were in bad shape hey

yep, as soon as I smelt that oil I thought of Linkins Fizzer post, it still stinks in the garage.

I refitted the headers as I took them off to give them another coat of paint, the radiator is now back on , the forks are back on, wheel and brakes also refitted. Cant do anymore tonight as I have run out of locktite. Looks like a trip to Autobarn is on the cards.

It would be really cool to bring this bike to the meet and great in April, all that is left is the carb kit and some tyres, then rego.

Clocks ticking, need to sell some parts so I can buy some tyres.

I bought this one down to the shop today , very low compression on 2 and 3 so the engine will be pulled out and will see what condition the barrels are in with a view to a rebuild, we did fire it up after dropping some oil down each barrel, sounds bloody mean !!!
