    Poor man's wet blasting... I cleaned the forks on a wire wheel.

    Im on school holidays.....so tinker time (no Im way way way to old for school, I just work at one)
    So I've fitted drop bars as the clipons were to low and hit the tank...(still prefer the look of clip ons, My neck and hands dont)
    Fitted some cheap bar end mirrors,fitted a shortie muffler which I welded a small baffle in as way to loud....Painted the seat 3 times trying different color styles...Im over it at the mo as I suck at painting....... IMAG0156.jpg ....Next week Im hiding the horn somewhere...and doing the clutch ...(Bike from Japan,clutch plates from Poland,clutch springs from the Uk, gaskets from Grease :D )

    went to aldi and bought a battery operated impact wrench. tuned the carbies on the bmw r65 ready for vjmc ride tomorrow.[if fine]

    Swapped the ZZR250 for a ZXR250. Story is the bike was hesitating around 10k rpm, owner sent the carbies away to be cleaned, put them back on, now it starts and dies straight away. He didn't have time to figure it out so I got a straight swap for the ZZR250!

    Welcome to Lola (previous owner named her). Looking forward to getting in the shed tomorrow and seeing if she'll start after a bit of tinkering.

    and fitting a rear guard so that nice looking bike doesn't get covered with tar, grease, dog shite, mud, oil and all the other garbage that is on the road. :)

    Na its all boxed in underneath and the number plate takes care of the over top and riders back ;)
    Its only a weekend blaster to get rid of the weekday blues and then only of its dry

    I took the DR down from its precarious, ill-designed and foolishly-located stand - didn't drop it, didn't kill anyone, didn't hurt my back and didn't even drop it down the pit that I set it up next to!.....

    Taking too long to assemble it, especially when I wire-wheel the exhaust system and the cables seem too short for the handlebars or something.. I'm not far from, I hope.

    Bought a nsr150 as a little project , has lots of tyga bits , it's been pulled apart to fix a broken ignition wire

    Picked up the "other" SRX250 this morning....

    Bought a gs250fw , never seen one before , but it is kinda cool, in line 4 from the 80's

    36 horsepower , this 1 of 190 sold in australia, quite rare

    This was the first 250cc 4 cylinder production bike

    I bit the bullet today and checked my valve clearance's on the FZR, they were all out of spec (too tight)
    Found i could only swap 2 shim's around, and ended up swapping 14 shim's with the local bike shop and giving them some cash
    I now have .18mm clearance on my inlet's and .3mm on the exhaust's

    I changed the plug, cleaned the carbs and she fired up, if anyone is interested, she is up for sale , I cant bring myself to part this one. Would make a fun project for someone for $1200 , the VHM head, expansion chamber and rear sets are worth $800 new on their own.
