Edgeworth, not yet but I have left my VTR tank with him. I will tell you more when I see you later this week Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
So. Today was the day. Bikelette, who I loved very lots, got sold. I was so ready to not sell her. Even when they turned up from a 350km trip, I was like...nope, she's mine. You're not worthy. Then they gave me my full price without haggling and sounded like they loved her too. Total bastards. I'm very sad panda. Bye, Bikelette. In retaliation...against...err...hmm...me? Dammit. I did this to Mia. Yes, yes I did. G'bye fairings, g'bye! Discovered this monstrosity. Yeh, I can get rid of what I need to without worrying about that particular bolt. Seriously though? Are you off your head? Why the Flying Spagetti Monster would you not replace that if you stuffed it? How did you even do that? I feel like I need to know because that's a very special kind of stupid. Proper one for comparison. IDIOT. Really, really starting to hate on prior owners at this point. Too cranky to focus. Who needs focus anyhow. Then, of course, there was this. And this: Serviced every 5,000km, was it? Please explain then how I'm currently seeing TWENTY-YEAR-OLD DIRT RIGHT NOW!! I KNOW IT'S OLD! I HAVE PEOPLE WHO CAN CARBON DATE STUFF! ARRRRGGGHHH. May possibly have lost my temper/sanity at this point. Slightly. Looked at my 'relax' sticker my husband made for me (awww), the widdle helmet he got me, the panda one of my team bought me and my butterfly.... ...and I was still f*&#ing cranky. Gnahhh! I need a drink. Or 5. People suck. Now to find my brake lines to take them off to send to Hell...Hel. Whatever. Gnah!!! What the $%^& is wrong with Wednesdays? Never could get them hang of them...
Very funny rant, however can I offer one observation - either your mangina is acting up because of the phase of the moon or you've entered the first stage of grieving at the loss of Bikelette - perhaps therapy is in order
Pfffft. I don't need no stinking mangina, @ruckusman. I'm female - I have the real thing. Never the less, you're right about Bikelette and therapy! When I got a message saying she'd nearly been stolen on the trip home I was tempted to go get her back. She never got nearly stolen under my care. Grrr.
OK so I must apologise I didn't read the gender clearly displayed in your profile beside your message - I didn't mean to be potentially sexist, derogatory and chauvinistic, I'm glad you saw the funny side. It's never comfortable losing a family member, loss of a two wheeled kind is as bad as any other - are you sure they didn't just phone you a taunt because they knew you care so much. At least the new owners won't be coming on here listing complaints about the previous owner
No apology needed, it was hilarious. And nah...these guys were ridiculously nice. Which sucked, because I totally wanted to hate them and refuse to sell her. Yes, I know, I definitely need therapy! They messaged me to let me know she got home safe with them too. Super nice. I'm still sad though. Loved that little thing.
I don't reckon most of the fellas on here would agree with you needing therapy... The list goes a little like this: female (we don't get many of the opposite sex round here), rides bikes, can work on bikes properly, really knows her way around tools has an amazing looking garage workspace and I reckon you've achieved true Goddess status and most will be either wishing you were single or asking if you happen to have a twin sister who is
I feel for your loss Mymia, always a sad day when one of my 'pets' leaves home (except for one piece of shite that I was glad to see the back of, but that's another story), but you have a new one to get to know now so go ride and enjoy it.
I ain't done **** in days! I took the bike to brunch Monday, and left the key on when I got home! Nuked a goddamn lithium battery, now the damn thing won't take a charge! Ain't ridden all week! Gotta buy a battery tomorrow! Ain't gonna get to ride this weekend while i wait on parts neither! Sucks.
don,t you need a special charger? and do not feel bad- i forgot to turn the cbx fuel tap off and left on side stand. tank ran into engine and even flooded out fuel filter. new oil change and filter. trouble was i had given it a change recently with full synthetic racing oil at cost of 100 bucks. bggr.
Yep, I have a lithium charger. I just got past then minimum voltage per cell. It's donezo. And ouuuuch, I've done one of those oil changes before. I run Motul v300 in the Ducati, I've had to dump the liquid gold before.
Find someone with a decent hobby grade r/c lipo charger, give it 5 mins in nimh mode at .5 amps and it'll recover above the minimum voltage (if you don't leave it for a week before recovering it). Then charge as per normal. (I worked for a company in Hong Kong developing l.i.f.e & lithium polymer batteries for a few years) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Put it in a big tin/saucepan on a low heat on the stove or bbq and gently heat to remove the petrol, then refill bike.
Must be the day for doing fork's. I serviced my Uncle's Virago fork's today, and gave them a full clean out/up, replaced the leaky seal's and added some fresh oil, also gave the lower tube's a respray. Each fork had 150ml's in it instead of 245ml's, the oil was pretty dark and had a lot of bit's in it. When i pulled the fork leg's out the tripple's i found 3 bit's of coke can shim's in each lower tripple? Not sure why they were there though, the fork's tightened up nice when it went back together.
