Unfortunately I have found myself in a position I have not been in for along time nor ever wanted to be in again. I have to sell one of my babies. 1986 Honda VT700C Shadow Cruiser (most of it newly polished lol ) $5000.00 ONO V-Twin, Shaft drive, aftermarket headlight, paint, mirrors, and airbox cover. Does come with all originals but is missing fuel tap on/off dial Have owned the bike for a few year now and has never been ridden in the rain, never thrashed, always kept out of the weather, I have never had the engine casings off so it is all factory original as far as engine goes and sounds beautiful. Now I know it is not a 250 and for that I am sorry, but it does happen to be a part of Honda history, is a great runner and needing nothing or next to nothing for RWC and REGO. Doesn't come with RWC or REG but should not be hard to obtain 1. The only thing I see it needs doing is the front brake needs bleeding. Contact through here if you want anymore details etc. This is a very reluctant sale and I know there are a shite load of VT750C but not 1 VT700C at least here in Aus or in this condition and even less 1986 models. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/131730045484?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649 This is a link for the ebay ad which goes into a bit more of a write up as to not bore you guys unless you want to click on the address above V-Twin, Shaft Drive, Disc brake front Drum rear V-Twin, Shaft Drive, Disc brake front Drum rear
I have always treated her well and kept her undercover to the point where I had a thick woolen fiber kind of material bike cover over it while being parked in a lockup shed But since we moved back to Hervey Bay from Brissy a little over 12 months ago we seem to have fallen well and truly behind to the point where it was either this lovely old girl or my completely original 1987 FZR400 1wg matching numbers clean title but I always stated to my son that the fzr would be one of the bikes I will be leaving to him as it will take about that long before i can fetch a good price for it lol And the cruiser should sell easier as the fzr needs some work, runs well etc just body/fairing wise ahh while I got you mate would you happen to know of anywhere I can get sizing for original decals at all? One of my uncles in Bris is a sign writer and also deals in vehicle wraps and decals etc and me being an absolute idiot decided to remove all the decals from the fzr fairing like the Marlborough and the black ones on the tail along with the yellow pin stripping etc. Now I know I will never get a set of New Old Stickers so my next best would be to duplicate. Anyway I have the bike listed for 5000 but I am sure if anyone through here would be interested I am sure we could work something out
bump At this present point in time and it kills me to do it but offers over the 4grand will be seriously considered
Hi guys, If there is anyone interested in owning a nice old classic cruiser I have relisted the bike as an auction still in ebay but there is no reserve and the starting bid is at 2g. This would be a great time to take a great opportunity to own a nice comfy hi-way bike at a low price.
