Hey guys, i'm new from Australia too! Just got my learner permit on the weekend and picked up a brand new Daelim VJF250. I've only done 7km's on the new bike, still stalling it a lot, very slowly trying to build my confidence up!
I've had my learners for about a month now and thought I would stall a lot seeing as I haven't driven a manual car since I was about 11 years old but have only stalled once when I was in a car park and someone cut me off.
i still stall my bikes here and there... but only when my brain is saying "hey.... wouldn't it be funny if you stalled ur bike right about now?"
I also now need to buy a new RH front indicator (dropped the bike at an intersection whilst trying to take off from stationery). Noone was around to see me thank god, so there's some smashed indicator bits left on the road (along with a bit of pride). Is this easy enough to fix myself? I have found the part on-line through a site called Korean Bike Parts (my bike is a 2014 Daelim VJF250).
Indicator will have a single nut holding it on ... unscrew it ,unplug the 2 wires , put in the new one , plug in the wires and your done. u may have to dig in behind the fairing to get at it from behind
Thanks GreyImport, I thought it looked easy enough, i'll order the part online today and see how I go!
Indicators are generally easy to replace, as per Mr. Grey's advice. If you start with the little stuff you should be well and truly ready by the time your new bike needs serious attention!
welcome along mate! the more you ride the better you will become! and we are all here for any help thats needed!
Well I received the part yesterday from Korea (ordered xmas eve, so very quick!). Replacing the indicator was a piece of cake! I was out in the shed for about 20mins, most of the time was spent getting my Bluetooth speaker set up with the song list I wanted playing!
